My thoughts end of the year
Good afternoon everyone, I hope that you all are having a great
last week of 2021.
For me, I am happy that the new year is right around the corner.
Looking forward to a great upcoming year!
I just heard about another shooting of 4 people I believe it was and
then the shooter himself (thank goodness!) my point is that I didn’t even hear
about this until today! I posted a video on this before this post. I have to
say this is absolutely ridiculous that there isn’t more media coverage on this!
I understand that here in America people want the right to have guns, okay and
yes I understand that is something that is a right here, however, I think that
the mass shootings that go on daily here need to flipping change!!!
It breaks my heart that things like this just keep happening day after day and
it's just like we’ve grown numb to it like oh okay another shooting thoughts and
prayers and then go on with our day…that isn’t right! MORE needs to be done!
I don’t own a gun, don’t really want to however, I understand to a
point for those that want them however I also understand that there needs to be
WAY more background and mental checks done and a longer waiting period for
people to get them because my thought is this – why on earth does anyone need
to own something like an AR-15 or whatever they are (I think that’s one of the
ones that I hear about the most that people have when shootings like this
happen and I don’t know crap about guns however I believe that one is a
powerful one that people don’t need! A pistol okay for a break-in or something
okay but nothing huge and I just don’t’ understand why people want to show them
off??!!! What is the damn point of that?? Don’t mess with me b/c of my gun? That
makes no damn sense to me it just doesn’t and maybe I’m just not understanding
things but I know one thing is for sure – too many people in this country have
them and they don’t need them or deserve to have them maybe b/c of mental
health reasons or for other reasons yet they can get one easier than going into
a store and grabbing a candy bar! Sad!
