Why is health insurance so expensive??

    Good morning/afternoon everyone, I hope that you all are doing great and enjoying the weekend! So today, for whatever reason I decided to further my research and look into health insurance. I don't have thankfully any health issues minus my gallbladder out last Oct otherwise I'm healthy as far as I know. 

    However, for again whatever reason I decided to research and get some quotes and see what options were out there for me and my family. I, my spouse, and my 22-year-old son still at home. I got them from $380 ish to over nearly $900 a month! Why are they so expensive?? I mean okay so the lowest one nearly 400 a month isn't that expensive however I would still have a huge deductible! What in the world?? Okay so I haven't had to deal with health insurance before, never thought about it because I just had no reason too because I am someone that wants to go to the doctor for really anything unless I absolutely have too like back in Mid-Oct. So to see how high the health insurance is for us here in the US and on my income which is good and comfortable for us but not a high income by any stretch of the imagination this is ridiculous!!!

     And then when I put in my information on literally a couple of sites I had flipping a dozen calls coming in within a couple minutes of doing that! NO! I don't want to spend my day talking to people on the other end that are going to be pushy and not really caring about me or my family they are just looking for someone to sign up!

    I don't know about others but that is highly irritating and I'm not willing to give them the time of day! And yet I have literally over a dozen phone calls and only 4 or so left a message wow really? And a few others have texted in which I replied and they ask or say text is fine etc and that's fine with me then they tell me we need to talk...NO we don't! omg, pushy!! if you can't tell me something in text/email then shut up and go on because I'm not interested I want something for my reference not wasting 10 mins or longer on the damn phone! For real!

    So irritated and frustrated!! I am probably going to continue on with my life without health insurance for all those reasons because it's expensive and such a damn inconvenience! No wonder a butt-ton of Americans are uninsured! So ridiculous of why we can't do like other countries and have flipping universal health care or whatever where everyone is covered no matter what!
