My work at home series - starting out
Working at home is such a blessing! If you can handle it and put your mind to it and get work done, then it’s a great thing to be able to do!
I love it! Been doing it for a lot of years now since the kids were little and I’ve grown so much throughout the years just learning and getting more organized and doing better with time-management etc.
However, it’s not for everyone. For me, I had to get used to shutting and locking my bedroom door which I never did before so that the kids when they were little wouldn’t just come barging in while I was on a call. That made me more disciplined to where I had a handle on my work and I had my hubby to tend to the kids for the most part and they weren’t little enough to where they needed me 24/7’s since they were school aged and at that time hubby was a stay at home dad and I was working, just out of my home office.
You must make sacrifices as with any job or place that you work. It’s just a different kind of sacrifice. Instead of leaving the house and making the sacrifice of going to work or to the office every day you would just be making the sacrifice of going in your home office and keeping your mind on the work at hand and not worrying about for example the dishes from last night or the laundry etc. You need to make sure that you can stay put and concentrate on doing whatever job it is that you are doing like answering calls or emailing or a combo of the two or maybe data entry etc. Any job is important and it's no different when you work out of your home office.
I’m going to continue this work at home series at least once a week. I want to share with others because I’ve been doing it for years and making a living at it. And what I’m doing isn’t any MLM’s or anything like that. Yes, I am my own boss as an Independent Contractor/Freelancer I make my own schedule for the most part.
Have a great rest of the day and weekend everyone! Enjoy the little things...
Hugs & Love always from your Queen of Random - Lisa
