Families of prisoners are the forgotten victims....

This is something that I shared on my Prison Wives Unite Fanpage on Facebook as well but I wanted to share it on here as well and see if anyone else would like to comment and share an opinion, so please feel free to comment...

So true!!!! We are the ones out here and yes we have our freedoms BUT we are also the ones that have everything put on us, we have to manage all the money, the bills, the kids, the job/work and not forget we have to also take care of our loved one on the inside by putting money on the phone so we can keep in touch, putting money on the books so they can enjoy a little bit of things such as essentials like soap and shampoo etc and let's not forget the visits, the money to get there and visit and the gas and money it takes to do those things....I believe that our country should do more of each individual persons case differently not just because they fall in this or that category do this much time etc. Because for some of us they are first time offenders and yet they get treated as if they have been in trouble a ton of times...its just NOT fair how our society looks down on people and the families...and I know that it's probably never going to really change because that's just the way people are and its okay everyone has an opinion but unless you've been there and done that you don't know the circumstances and everyone's situation is different...I feel for ALL the families that have a loved one in prison...you are a strong person and can make it...just keep pushing and not only for you and or your family/kids etc but because that loved one in there feels helpless not being able to help and it saddens me every time I hear my husband tell me those words...breaks my heart b/c he's a good person who doesn't deserve all of what he's getting...yes he made a mistake and yes we are all humans who make mistakes but for some that actually are sorry and for those that haven't ever been in trouble before they aren't a bad person, they just made a stupid decision but, should that be taken out on the family or should the family as victims be forgotten? I don't think so....Just my opinion and some might agree and others might disagree and that's okay...I wish you all the best regardless...

  2. Murders, Rapist, Child Molesters all should be tortured for the rest of their lives and after lives. What about the victims?
