Getting your family prepared to head back to school, can be difficult especially after a long, fun-filled summer. Here are a few of our favorite Back to School Tips to help you along the way.

1. Back-to-School Supplies Checklist - Backpack? Check. Pencils? Check. Safety scissors? Not Yet. Use the same checklist each time you head out to grab supplies, to keep track of what you have already purchased and the things you still need to. These are also handy if you have more than one child. Simply print 2, 3, 4 list and add their name to the top.

2. One of the things that my kids liked to do was make sure they had their names on the inside of notebooks and backpacks so that they could always know which one was theirs.

3. When you are buying school supplies, its always a great idea to check each week for the specials on school supplies. If something isn't on sale one week, it probably will be the next, so wait for the sales.

4. Don't go out and buy more then what is on the list of the basic school supplies. Sometimes teachers are picky and they want only certain kinds or brands of things and if you don't wait and see what they want you might end up wasting money on the wrong kinds.

5. If you are going to be bringing lunch to school, make sure you have that ready and a name inside the box or bag as well so things don't get misplaced.
